Mini Conference
The POMS College of Healthcare Operations Management (CHOM) is offering a mini-conference on Thursday, May 2 (the day before the main conference), starting at 1 p.m. Attached is the schedule and description of the mini-conference.
Our CHOM Synapse conference fosters collaboration among physicians and other healthcare providers, healthcare administrators, and operations management researchers to share what works, what doesn’t and why, and which areas need greater attention. We connect healthcare researchers and practitioners to actively exchange ideas. This helps all of us to develop approaches that are innovative, practical and sustainable in improving the operations of healthcare. This one day conference complements the POMS annual meeting (May 3-6, 2013). It offers participants an opportunity for mutual learning between practitioners and researchers and allows time for brainstorming new research ideas and implementation approaches to improve the effectiveness of healthcare systems.
Featured participants represent Baylor College of Medicine, Denver Health, Mayo Clinic, Mental Health Center of Denver, NSF Center for Health Organization Transformation, University of Toledo, Vanderbilt School of Medicine, and many more! We hope you will join us, and please call upon me or any of our organizers for more information:
